About Ursula Daly

Hi my name is Ursula. I grew up in a family where the background was in the field of healthcare. So health is something that is very close to my heart. I have always had an interest in the mind and body connection following a few traumas in my life. It was inevitable that I would pursue the "why" before I moved onto the "how", so that brought me to the field of Psychotherapy. I am a qualified Counselor and Psychotherapist BSc Hons with extensive experience in the field of health care, counselling and psychotherapy. I also have the added advantage of having worked outside the therapy field for a period of years and having had the experience of parenthood, thus bringing a broad and mature perspective to a therapy session.

I traveled to Washington to study the Mind Body Medicine and I have a Specialty Certificate in Mind Body Skills. I also have a certificate in Gestalt & Art Therapy. It was wonderful to find the Eating Freely Programme that brings all aspects of my work together. Including ingredients like CBT, mindfulness, and neuroscience along with a plethora of other tools. Having trained in the Humanistic, Psycho-Dynamic and Gestalt models of Counselling and Psychotherapy, I use a variety of approaches depending on the issue at hand. When working with clients I endeavor to work at their pace respecting their constraints, dilemmas, and personal challenges.
