Emotion-Focused Hypnotherapy

Emotion focused hypnotherapy utilises the power of your subconscious mind to deeply understand and connect to your emotions, how they feel within your body and the meaning you have been making about them. Together we uncover how you have been keeping yourself in repeating cycles and break the pattern by learning skills to regulate your nervous system, release stored emotions and create corrective emotional experiences.

Emotion focused hypnotherapy integrates your body responses, emotions and cognitions to approach your challenges holistically. You learn how to tune into your felt sense of emotion, understanding how your body communicates with you, responding rather than reacting to its messages. This deeply transformative therapy allows to create change from a regulated nervous system, focusing on your capacity to hold space for the good and let go of what is no longer serving you.

What to expect

In an intake session for Emotion focused hypnotherapy, we begin by discussing your reasons for coming. Following your lead, we go as deeply into your story as feels safe for you. Intake sessions last 90 minutes so we can take our time. After our initial discussion we commence hypnotherapy – I will invite you to close your eyes and ask you to simply follow my voice as I guide you into an inwardly focused state. Depending on what has come up during our initial conversation I will pick a therapeutic intervention that aligns with you and your goals. In the following sessions we will work together to develop safety inside your body, release what no longer serves you and build capacity to create from a place of ease in your life.
