Caroline Flavin

Sound Healing for individuals & couples
Sound Baths for groups

Caroline Flavin brings a deeply intuitive, creative and embodied approach to sound healing at The Dublin Wellbeing Centre. Her work is rooted in over twenty years of study and exploration in sound, voice, movement, ritual and consciousness, creating sessions that are gentle, spacious and profoundly restorative.

During her years of shamanic training, Caroline held sacred space for a dedicated women’s drumming circle in Cork, using the drum and voice to create spontaneous, healing soundscapes. While living in Tokyo, she trained in the courtly Kabuki music traditions of Japan, where she learned the importance of ‘Ma’ - the silence between notes - a concept also emphasised by Gong Master Don Conreaux during her training with him. This understanding of  silence and sound remains central to her work today.

Caroline also studied wadaiko drumming in Japan, where the movement and flow of the body are intrinsic to the music. Combined with later explorations in Movement Medicine and Five Rhythms, these embodied practices now inform the way she works with sound healing instruments, especially the gong and the delicate, resonant surface of the crystal bowls.

In every session, Caroline brings full presence and intention to both the sounds she creates and the silence between them, allowing the instruments to carry and amplify peace, prayer and resonance into the field. During her sound bath meditations and one to one sessions, Caroline allows herself to become a vessel for the singing voice of spirit to flow through. Her work comes from a place of conscious stillness rather than thought, creating a space where clients can soften, relax and receive.

Her presence is informed not only by her training, but by many years of spiritual practice and in-person study with teachers in the fields of consciousness, creativity and healing, including Marianne Williamson, Toltec shamanic teachers Don Miguel Ruiz and Don Miguel Ruiz Jr.,  indigenous Celtic shamans Martin Duffy and Sli an Chroi, artists Alex & Allyson Grey, and Mike Booth (Aura-Soma colour and consciousness). She has extensive experience and knowledge of the crystal kingdom from over thirteen years of managing Dervish Dublin Holistics book and crystal store. Her studies of energy healing, from the shamanic to the angelic (Reiki, IET Angelic healing, Aura-Soma), also inform her sound healing sessions.

“MUSIC WITHOUT WORDS MEANS LEAVING BEHIND THE MIND AND LEAVING BEHIND THE MIND IS MEDITATION. MEDITATION RETURNS YOU TO THE SOURCE AND THE SOURCE OF ALL IS SOUND.”

— Kabir, 15th century Indian mystic poet and saint

Closer to home, Caroline spent a couple of years training in the indigenous Celtic shamanic traditions of Ireland at Dunderry Park. Along with much experience of the crystal kingdom gleaned from thirteen years of managing Dervish Dublin Holistics book and crystal store, Caroline’s studies of energy healing from the shamanic to the angelic all inform her sound healing sessions and sound baths.

She delivers high quality bespoke sound healing sessions and sound bath meditations using a unique combination of quartz singing bowls, Acutonics Tuning Forks® and Aura-Soma Colour, to bring effortless relaxation to clients and facilitates various relaxation and meditation circles and classes in private, public, community, school and corporate environments.

“I experienced an integration on an energetic and visceral level. These sessions have invited a gentle release of suppressed memories and emotions and supported my journey of healing long-held trauma. A symphony of body and soul – absolutely divine”

“I was dealing with anxiety and stress. Caroline was very professional, intuitive and her energy is so positive and peaceful! Her energy and serenity made my sessions peaceful. I felt like my stress was getting gently washed away. I now feel more calm and clear about what I have to do next”
