Holistic Massage

Holistic Massage is a passive and easy going manner in which to thoroughly relax the body therefor stimulating its regeneration.

What's involved?

To begin, Lámhaoise will conduct a short consultation to allow for and adapt the treatment to any medical conditions. Holistic Massage is conducted with the underwear on and with the body covered in towels.

Only the part of the body being treated at any given moment during the massage is exposed.

Originating in Sweden in the early 1800's by Per Henrik Ling, the "Holistic Massage" form taught in Ireland today is still the same in essence. It brings together both eastern and western techniques of Petrissage, Effleurage, Hacking, Cupping and Acupressure to form one treatment.

It's not a deep tissue massage. The strokes are medium to light pressure with Acupressure forming the lightest points of touch, alongside 'Tandem point energy treatment. The session concludes with Homecare advice which extends the possibility of making the best of the session.

Lámhaoise is a 2023 graduate with Distinction, Holistic Massage OBUS, Leixlip, Co. Kildare.

Peaceful background music will be played to aid relaxation. I will check in with you at times throughout the session to assess the pressure used and I will adjust as needed for you. I will also be tuning in to what your body is communicating to me throughout the treatment.
