About Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue massage consists of slower, stronger massage techniques that stimulate deeply into the fascia and other supportive tissues that make up the muscles and the joints. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure. This is especially helpful in contracted areas of the body such as the neck, upper back, lower back, legs, and shoulders, which tend to hold the most tension. When muscles are stressed, they block oxygen and nutrients, leading to inflammation. This inflammation leads to a build up of toxins and free radicals in the muscle tissue. This massage relieves these conditions/symptoms.
