About Somatic Therapy (Integrative)

Integrative Somatic Therapy uniquely combines diverse somatic practices to address trauma stored in the body. It transcends traditional methods, offering holistic healing and fostering deep, transformative personal growth through body-focused techniques, guided by the principles established by Dr. Peter Levine and other somatic experts.

Expanding upon traditional approaches, this therapy delves into the intricate connection between mind and body. It utilizes movement, breathwork, and mindfulness to release trauma and enhance self-awareness. Tailored to individual needs, it supports emotional regulation, resilience, and a profound journey towards healing and well-being.

Content of a session

Each session of Integrative Somatic Therapy is a journey tailored to your unique needs. It begins with a grounding exercise, fostering a safe and present space.

We then explore gentle movement and breathwork to connect with the body's wisdom. Throughout, mindful attention is given to sensations and emotions, encouraging a dialogue between mind and body. Techniques like guided imagery and body scanning are often incorporated to deepen awareness and facilitate the release of stored trauma.

The session also includes personalized strategies for emotional regulation, fostering resilience and self-compassion. Expect a nurturing environment where every aspect of your being is acknowledged and honoured. The goal is to leave you feeling more connected to yourself, with tools to continue your healing journey beyond our time together.

Length of therapy: 60 minutes & 90 minutes.
