Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction with Iliyana Boykova Starting January 2023

Would you like to learn about mindfulness practices and how they can influence your life in a positive way?

Join me for an 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course at The Dublin Wellbeing Centre 🙏

This course will take place every Monday evening, from 6:00-8:30 pm starting on January 23rd, 2023. There will also be a retreat day on Saturday, March 5th from 10:00-16:00.

Whether you are brand new to mindfulness or have been practicing for years, you are very welcome.

What is Mindfulness?

Jon Kabat-Zinn, the founder of MBSR, defines mindfulness in the following way:

“Mindfulness is awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally”.

Mindfulness practice teaches us to direct our attention to our present moment experience with an attitude of kindness and curiosity. It helps us cultivate the ability to be present with what is already here, moment to moment. This allows us to bring even the most subtle parts of our experience to the foreground.

So often in life we are operating on automatic pilot or preoccupied with worrying, daydreaming, planning, or judging. Rather than try to change anything, mindfulness helps us to simply become more aware of our habitual patterns of thinking, allowing us to explore the difference between “doing” and “being”.

Through our mindfulness practice, we can deliberately cultivate this ability to be with ourselves and become more present in our lives, while simultaneously cultivating our ability to be kind and compassionate towards ourselves and others. This can have a profound effect on our mental and emotional health and wellbeing.

About MBSR

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a long-standing programme with significant research showing the benefits of learning to cultivate this way of being in the world. The research shows that Mindfulness-Based Courses help us to develop our awareness of our internal experience, enhance our relationship with ourselves and others, and take better care of our mental and physical health, including finding ways to work with low mood, anxiety, and depression.

Extensive research into the 8-week MBSR course has shown that developing mindfulness has a significant positive effect on:
